FAL have designed a residential scheme on the site of a former gas production facility which was constructed in 1868 and houses a 22m diameter gas pressure valve. The function of the valve has now been replaced by a small High Tech gas regulating Governor which frees up the majority of the site for redevelopment.

In order to obtain planning, the existing tank will need to be de-watered and the whole site decontaminated. An application to the London Borough of Sutton has been submitted for 5O build to rent residential units for local people.

The building will offer a range of Private and Affordable rental homes targeted at young professionals living locally.
