MIXED-USE DEVELOPMENT

SILVERTOWN

FAL have designed a mixed-use development in Thames Road, Silvertown within close proximity of Barrier Park and Pontoon Dock DLR. The site is currently designated as Strategic Industrial Land but the area is due to be released by the GLA for mixed-use and residential use.

The site is complex due to the long, linear proportion and resultant short street frontage in addition to being located within a flood zone. With parking located at ground floor, a 'boulevard' has been created to bring users up to podium level from which the buildings are accessed.

The 'boulevard' opens up into high-quality landscaped courtyards which provide access to a gym, cafe, nursery and B1 flexible / co-working space, providing life and activity. Double height spaces beneath the buildings provide a generous feeling of space and direct views to the river Thames.
